Scenic Drives:
Grafton-Maclean via Lawrence Ferry
This is a pretty alternative route to the highway. Sealed road, scenic frerry crossing ( free 24 hour service), suitable for caravnas, Follow signs to Lawrence from Queen St

Grafton-Ulmarra
Cross the ferry at Southgate and return via the highway. Scenic circuit to historic Ulmarra - NOT suited to caravans. Follow signs to Lawrence from Queen St

Grafton-Coffs Harbour via Glenreagh
A sealed drive through historic towns and gold mining areas. Picnic spots at Glenreagh. Follow sins to Armidale then turn off 5km from Grafton.

Grafton-Casino via Summerland Way
A sealed road to Casino, Kyogle, Lismore and Queensland. Follow signs to Casino.

Grafton-Glen Innes via the Gwydir Highway
One of the best links between the coast and the Tablelands. Spectacular scenery passing through Washpool and Gibraltar Range National parks. Fully sealed for caravans. Follow GlenInnes-Gwydir Highway signs.

Grafton-Glen Innes via the Old Glen Innes Road
A scenic drive passing through a convict-mad tunnel and old gold mining areas. Extensive sections are unsealed. Turn off Gwydir Highway at Waterview Heights following sign to Buccarumb/Dalmorton. NOT suitable for caravans.

Grafton-Armidale
A direct link to Armidale of mainly sealed road. passes theough Coutts Crossing, Nymboida and by Ebor and Wollomonbi Falls. White water rafting area.


Sport:
Racing:

The Grafton Racetrack provides amenities equal to many metropolitan tracks. Some 30 meetings are held each year with the July Racing Carnival rating as the richest country carnival in Australia. The neighbouring geryhound track maintains a busy program and their July carnivaal is a major event.

Lawn Bowls: There are four licensed clubs in Grafton. The Grafton RSL and their Services Bowls Club welcome visitors as does the South Grafton RSL Club.

Ten Pin Bowls: 5 Powell St Grafton.

Squash: Visiting players are welcome at the Grafton RSL and Grafton Squash Centre where there is a gym, pool and sauna.

Tennis: The main Courts are in Prince St. Contact the take-away food outlet opposite for bookings.

Golf: An 18-hole championship golf course is situated in Bent St. Full professional service is available, motorised buggy hire and free practise area.
A fold driving range is situated at 252 Rushforth Road.

Swimming Pools: Grafton Olympic Pool in Oliver St has a waterslide and is open weekdays 6-8p.m.; Sat 8-6p.m.; Sundays 9-6p.m. An indoor heated pool and gym is in Armidale St South

Rock Climbing:Indoor climbing wall ath South Grafton heated pool and visitors welcome.

Gym: Brickworks 6643 3774; Big River Fitness Centre 6642 6633

Sailing: :The Bridge to Bridge Sailinng Classic is heldevery Nov and there is a sailing club.

Water-Skiing: The annual Bridge to Bridge Ski Racei held on the lon g weekend in the October - Yhe Clarence is an excellent venue for this sport.

Motorsport :The hillclimb tract at Mountainview hosts regular meetings for cars, gocarts, and bucket-bikes. Speedway meetings are held regularly at Grafton Showground.
